Jeffrey M. Sklarz is a partner with Zeisler & Zeisler, P.C. Jeff’s practice is focused on the representation of individuals and businesses with complex financial litigation needs including: bankruptcy, creditor/debtor litigation, tax litigation, pension and employee benefit litigation and commercial litigation. He regularly argues and tries cases and appeals before Connecticut’s State and Federal Courts. He has served as counsel to debtors, creditor’s committee, secured lenders and equity holders in a variety of cases.

Jeff received his LL.M. (Taxation) from the Boston University School of Law, Graduate Tax Program, his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and his B.A. (Government) from Colby College.

Jeff holds or has held numerous positions with national and local bar associations, including currently as American Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division Liaison to the Business Law Section; District Representative to the American Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division; and member of the executive committee of the Commercial Law & Bankruptcy Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. He is a 2005 recipient of the Connecticut Law Tribune’s New Leaders of Law Award (Overall Achievement, Fairfield County) and was recently named a Rising Star (Business Litigation) by New England Super Lawyers 2010. Jeff is also a frequent writer and lecturer on creditor/debtor, bankruptcy and pension and employee benefit issues.
