Craig I. Lifland is a partner with Zeisler & Zeisler, P.C. For over 28 years, Craig has specialized in business reorganization, insolvency, and creditors’ rights. He is Board certified in Business Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification, is listed in Best Lawyers in America, and has received a “AV Rating” from Martindale-Hubbell since he was first rated by that publication. He has been a partner at Zeisler & Zeisler since 1989, and has been involved in many of the largest and most complex Chapter 11 filings in the State of Connecticut. He has represented debtors in possession in all industries, including, manufacturing, retail, wholesalers and distributors, publishing, telecom, healthcare, developers and real estate cases, and many service businesses. Craig was recently named a “Lawyer of the Year” for Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights by Best Lawyers.

Representative engagements include New Haven Terminal, Inc., Heating Oil Partners, LP, Country Home Bakers, Connecticut Limousine Inc., Waterworks, Inc., Triangulum Associates (Heritage Village), Railroad Salvage, Inc., Ahead Communications, Vivax Medical, and Glendenning Associates. Representative Creditors’ Committee engagements include East Hill Woods, Johnson Memorial Hospital and Affiliates, Stamford Center for the Arts, and One IP Voice. He has also represented numerous out-of-state financial institutions, stalking horse purchasers, landlords and other creditor constituencies in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 cases.

Craig is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section, American Bar Association, Corporate Banking and Business Law Section, American Bankruptcy Institute, and the Florida Bar. He is also a frequent lecturer at various private and public seminar audiences.

Craig received his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University, and his B.A. from Syracuse University.
